Harvest Festival 2026 | Growing Fruit in the City: An Urban Fruit Tree Panel

Whether you have a garden, a single pot, or are part of a community orchard, this talk is about giving you the confidence to plant and care for fruit trees in the city.

Join us at the Garden Museum for a chaired panel bringing together ecologists, orchard specialists and community growers to explore urban fruit trees from every angle: the wildlife they support, how to keep them healthy, the culture and stories they carry, and how communities are planting them across London.

Our panel:

• Russell Miller, ecologist, on orchard ecology and biodiversity
• Ewa Krupa, specialist in holistic orchard management and heritage collections
• Kath Rosen, CEO of The Orchard Project, on community orchards and growing
• Divya Hariramani Herrero of Fruity Walks, on fruit tree culture, the people behind the trees, and the interesting species found across London

Each speaker will share their perspective, followed by a conversation between them and an open Q&A. Expect a lively, practical evening that leaves you inspired to grow.
